About the Role

• Prepare attractive, nutritious food and ensure proper presentation • Follow sanitation and safe‑handling practices during food preparation and cooking • Document concerns, suggestions, or menu changes for staff and residents • Assist with serving meals and clearing tables • Clean utensils, dishes, and work areas promptly • Maintain resident safety by cleaning floors and areas • Follow infection control, food‑borne illness prevention, chemical handling, and fire safety procedures

What You Bring

We are seeking a self‑starter Cook for our Apex, NC location to support the Food Service team and deliver an exceptional dining experience for residents. The Cook prepares appealing, healthy meals, follows quality and safety standards, and assists with serving and clearing tables while maintaining a clean, safe environment. This role also involves documenting menu changes, adhering to infection control and sanitation procedures, and building rapport with staff and residents. • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred); must be 16+ years old (18+ for power‑driven machines in NC) • At least 3 years experience in healthcare, hospitality, or service settings (preferred) • Culinary arts background and Serv‑Safe, CPR, First Aid certifications (preferred) • Ability to prepare food timely with creativity and presentation skills • Knowledge of safety and disinfection requirements
