About the Role
• Undertake carpentry, fitting, and minor maintenance works at a single Defence base, ensuring buildings, structures, plant and equipment meet required standards. • Perform carpentry, joinery, and basic building works including repairs, installation, and maintenance of structures and fixtures. • Deliver preventative and responsive works in accordance with statutory, contractual, and safety requirements, applying trade expertise across carpentry and general facility upkeep. • Ensure a safe working environment for colleagues, customers, and the general public.

What You Bring
• Certificate III in Carpentry. • Post‑trade experience in carpentry and/or mechanical fitting within a facilities maintenance environment. • Working at Heights qualification (desirable). • Demonstrated experience in preventative and corrective maintenance of building structures, fixtures, and mechanical plant/equipment. • Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent mechanical fitting qualification (desirable). • Current open driver’s licence. • Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizenship required). • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to delivering high‑quality outcomes.
