About the Role
The Landfill Laborer performs a range of operational duties to maintain landfill safety and efficiency, including managing waste, operating equipment, and supporting site maintenance. • Manually collect wind‑blown paper from landfill perimeter using bags. • Operate a mobile vacuum mounted on a tractor to remove loose paper and debris. • Direct truck traffic at the landfill entrance during peak summer periods using verbal and hand signals. • Lift and transport construction materials such as lumber, concrete mix, and hand tools. • Separate metal, white goods, lumber, and cardboard on the tipping floor. • Participate in a stock purchase plan and 401(k) match.
