About the Role
The Senior Aptitude Technician supports integrated technology system activities on job sites, including installation, testing, and maintenance. This role involves hands‑on tool work, tracking labor hours, and leading a crew as a working lead, all aligned with JE Dunn’s strategy, vision, and values. The technician makes routine decisions independently, advises supervisors on exceptions, and follows a clear career path toward Aptitude Foreman. Safety, quality, and production goals are central, with expectations to mentor crew members and coordinate with suppliers and other trades. • Demonstrate commitment to safety by participating in toolbox talks, hazard analyses, and mentoring others. • Perform assigned tasks using tools, track labor hours, and submit timecards. • Maintain and manage tools/equipment required for project production. • Lead crew safety and security procedures, set crew sizes, and achieve production goals. • Document activities, production metrics, and crew composition. • Coordinate deliveries with suppliers and manage other trade work within scope. • Read and interpret plans, specifications, shop drawings, and coordination drawings. • Provide on‑job guidance and share expertise to support team development. • Schedule and coordinate inspections for assigned scope. • Lead small team on complex installations, ensuring adherence to standards and timelines. • Oversee quality of structured cabling projects and troubleshoot advanced system issues.

What You Bring
The position requires the ability to lift 50 lb, work in extreme temperatures, at heights, and on non‑traditional schedules, with reliable transportation and possible respirator use.
