About the Role
The Regional Manager, Affordable Housing oversees the full operations of a housing community portfolio, managing personnel, leasing, maintenance, financials, administration and risk to ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards and fair‑housing regulations. The role includes significant travel (25‑50% annually) for property visits, conferences and training. • Ensure compliance with Equal Housing Opportunity, LIHTC and Section 8 policies, and conduct semi‑annual regulatory inspections. • Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on‑site staff while handling performance issues and submitting salary and evaluation documents to HR and senior leadership. • Approve timesheets, monitor vacation/sick leave, and maintain accurate staff documentation. • Develop and manage annual operating budgets, forecast financial performance, and identify cost‑control and revenue‑enhancement strategies. • Provide monthly variance analysis for income and expense items and recommend capital improvement projects. • Oversee rent collection, deposit reconciliation, and timely processing of vendor invoices. • Create yearly marketing plans, implement leasing strategies, and ensure accurate lease documentation and reporting. • Handle resident complaints, design retention programs, and coordinate showings, lease signings, and move‑ins. • Maintain accurate administrative and leasing reports and respond to property emergencies per company guidelines. • Direct maintenance, construction, and rehabilitation activities, ensuring timely completions and quality standards. • Plan and manage property resources, obtain competitive vendor bids, and monitor service request turnaround.

What You Bring
• Travel 25‑50% of the time for property visits, conferences, and training sessions. • Require affordable‑housing experience, including LIHTC knowledge, and prior regional management exposure. • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four years relevant experience; CAM or ARM certification preferred. • Possess basic computer skills, knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements, and ability to use on‑site software.
