India Manager I, US Payroll

About the Role

The Manager – US Payroll will lead and manage end‑to‑end US payroll operations for over 40,000 employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. The role involves overseeing a payroll team, handling complex transactions, and collaborating with HR, Finance, and external vendors, with accelerated processing during holidays. • Manage full‑cycle weekly and biweekly payroll for salaried and hourly staff. • Perform validations, reconciliations, HSDL loads, off‑cycle and mass payments. • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure payroll compliance. • Prepare and analyze payroll reports and drive process improvements. • Enforce payroll policies, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality. • Lead, motivate, and resolve queries for the payroll team. • Oversee US and Canada payroll schedules and third‑party transactions. • Utilize advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data analysis) for reporting.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field, with at least seven years of payroll experience—five of which involve multi‑state processing—and three years of managerial experience. Additionally, three or more years of hands‑on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud is required. Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities are essential, along with advanced Excel skills such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data analysis. The candidate must be proficient in Oracle HCM Cloud, UKG, ServiceNow, and be able to manage confidential data under pressure while demonstrating excellent organization and time‑management. • Apply knowledge of Oracle HCM Cloud, UKG, and ServiceNow in payroll operations.
