About the Role
Your daily responsibilities will involve diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle systems, estimating labor and material costs, responding to emergency breakdowns, completing required paperwork, and maintaining a safe, organized work area in line with OSHA standards. • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems • Estimate time and material costs for repairs and parts • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs) • Respond to emergency breakdown service calls • Conduct safety checks on vehicles • Complete paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times • Assist senior mechanics with project work • Review, complete, or assign repairs from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports • Maintain a clean, safe work area per Corporate/OSHA standards

What You Bring
• Preferred: 3+ years heavy‑truck diesel experience; computer skills; hydraulic and refuse experience a plus • 2 years relevant work experience • Valid driver’s license with clean record • Minimum age of 18 years • Legally eligible to work in the United States • Ability to meet physical job requirements with or without reasonable accommodations • Pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical • Capable of working independently and as part of a team • Determined problem solvers • Frequent physical effort: lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing, standing, walking, grasping • Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and extreme weather conditions • Work in both indoor garage/shop settings and outdoor environments with inclement weather
