HUB Operations Manager - Grid Automation

About the Role

In this role you will manage end‑to‑end execution of Grid Automation projects, ensuring on‑time delivery, cost control and quality compliance. You will monitor key performance indicators such as project completion rates, lead times and revenue realization, and work closely with supply‑chain and factory teams to optimise procurement, material availability and production schedules. Coordination with vendors, risk mitigation for supply shortages, and continuous process improvement in manufacturing and assembly are core responsibilities. • Lead project execution to meet schedule, budget and quality targets. • Track and report operational KPIs such as completion rates, lead times and revenue. • Optimize procurement and material flow with supply‑chain and factory partners. • Coordinate with vendors to prevent delays and mitigate short‑supply risks. • Drive continuous process improvements in manufacturing and assembly. • Maintain high‑service level relationships with key customers and resolve issues promptly. • Align operational plans with sales and business‑development requirements. • Represent Hitachi Energy in customer negotiations and escalation meetings. • Identify cost‑saving opportunities and implement margin‑improvement initiatives. • Analyze financial performance and recommend efficiency gains. • Lead, mentor and develop cross‑functional teams of project managers, engineers and operations staff. • Ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards across all processes.

What You Bring

The position requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or a related field and at least 15 years of experience in operations, project execution or supply‑chain management within grid or substation automation. Candidates must demonstrate strong project‑management, lean‑operations and financial acumen, proven leadership of cross‑functional teams, and excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills. Proficiency with ERP systems, project‑management tools and automation technologies, along with fluent English, is essential. • Hold a Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or a related discipline. • Possess 15+ years of experience in grid automation, project execution or supply‑chain management. • Demonstrate strong analytical, financial and data‑driven decision‑making abilities. • Experience with ERP, project‑management and automation tools. • Exhibit excellent communication, leadership and problem‑solving skills.
