About the Role
The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician supports the Operations Maintenance team by caring for material handling and pneumatic equipment throughout the building and by working with automated packaging and distribution systems. Daily duties include upholding safety standards, performing scheduled upkeep, diagnosing equipment issues, and collaborating with colleagues across the facility to ensure smooth operations. The role also involves tracking inventory, utilizing maintenance software, and may require travel to other sites to provide support as needed. • Perform preventive maintenance on material handling equipment and document all work. • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues on MHE components such as belts, motors, photo‑eyes, and relays. • Install, maintain, and service automated packaging and distribution equipment. • Mentor junior technicians and support their skill development. • Follow all safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment. • Manage parts inventory and track assets using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). • Travel up to 20% of the time to service additional facilities.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to work flexible schedules that include nights, weekends, and holidays, and have at least two years of experience repairing material handling equipment and conducting predictive and preventive maintenance. Preferred candidates have an associate degree or higher in a mechanical or electrical field, experience with automated conveyor systems, the ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics, and familiarity with robotic or electromechanical operation and computerized maintenance management systems. The position requires physical stamina for repetitive bending, lifting up to 49 lb, standing or walking for long shifts, and the ability to work in confined, dusty, noisy, or temperature‑extreme environments. Based on‑site in Richmond, TX, this role is open to individuals authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
