About the Role

The Project Engineer is a pivotal technical partner responsible for driving complex capital projects from concept through closeout. Unlike traditional PM roles, this position requires deep technical engagement, using AutoCAD and Bluebeam to validate designs and author detailed Project Execution Plans that map out how construction will occur in our high‑paced manufacturing environment. The role balances scope, schedule, and budget while acting as the bridge between engineering theory and operational reality, ensuring safe delivery with zero disruption to active production lines. This team serves as the tactical bridge between engineering design and physical reality, integrating major infrastructure upgrades into a live manufacturing environment. We remove physical bottlenecks, delivering high‑performance facilities that accelerate Base’s production capacity and scalability. Our work demands intricate “ship‑in‑a‑bottle” logistics where precise technical planning prevents costly downtime and directly supports the company’s future growth. • Develop comprehensive Project Execution Plans (PEPs) that define construction sequence, logistics, and phasing to build complex projects without disrupting operations. • Lead cross‑disciplinary teams (MEP, Civil, Controls) through the full project lifecycle, using AutoCAD and Bluebeam to validate designs, markup drawings, and ensure constructability. • Build and maintain integrated schedules and cost models, tracking scope, variance, and milestones to keep projects financially healthy and on time. • Serve as the primary bridge between engineering requirements and business operations, coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal leadership. • Proactively identify bottlenecks and execute mitigation strategies while enforcing safety standards, regulatory codes, and quality control procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • project plans
  • autocad
  • bluebeam
  • cost modeling
  • client coordination
  • risk mitigation

What You Bring

• Strong engineering foundation (B.S. or equivalent) with hands‑on proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam to verify spatial constraints and troubleshoot design issues. • High organizational bandwidth to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously in a high‑pressure manufacturing environment. • Expert communication skills to translate complex engineering challenges to non‑technical stakeholders and maintain alignment. • Practical “builder” mindset with understanding of constructability and logistics to visualize and plan shop‑floor execution. • First Principles Thinking: question assumptions; prioritize principles over rules. • Strong Opinions, Loosely Held: drive clarity and make calls with imperfect information.
