What You Bring
Sunbelt Rentals – the fastest growing rental business in North America – is seeking a Road Mechanic. This role performs preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a diverse fleet that includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools, large‑scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas equipment, ensuring minimal downtime in a safety‑focused environment. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, with trade school training preferred, and 3‑5 years of mechanic experience on diesel, heavy construction, or specialty equipment. A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required, and a CDL may be needed in some locations. Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, flexibility with changing priorities, and bilingual abilities (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs. The position demands physical activity such as bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more, both indoors and outdoors as required.
