About the Role
The Project Controls Manager will lead the programme controls function, ensuring accuracy and consistency of plans, cost, safety, environment and performance reporting while deploying control‑team resources effectively. Managers establish effective control processes in line with the Guide to Railway Investment Projects (GRIP) and maintain them at the territory or project level as directed by the Programme Controller. • Review new project proposals/remits and develop realistic resource plans. • Identify resourcing requirements and coordinate with planning functions to resolve issues. • Provide day‑to‑day reporting service to Programme and Project Managers on plans, costs, safety, environment and performance. • Monitor data input to cost and performance systems to ensure standards are met. • Manage production of the Investment Plan in compliance with the Investment Competence Framework. • Perform, monitor, and review planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis. • Operate discipline‑specific software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office at an intermediate level. • May be responsible for SOX controls where applicable.

The positions focus on delivering project controls across infrastructure projects in the region. • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. • Use PC operating systems and basic software applications proficiently. • Apply knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start‑up processes. • Understand engineering and construction management principles.
