About the Role
The technician must demonstrate safe work practices (confined‑space entry, lockout/tagout, hot‑work permits, chemical handling, emergency response) and provide technical support for production by troubleshooting, repairing, and adjusting manufacturing equipment. Duties include preventive, predictive, reactive, and corrective maintenance, installation, removal, and relocation of machinery per blueprints, and addressing electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, HVAC, boiler, control, refrigeration, compressed‑air, and wastewater systems. Additional responsibilities involve testing and maintaining electrical components (AC/DC drives, motors, controls, relays, sensors, switches, solenoid valves), cleaning and lubricating sensors and servos, collaborating with contractors, participating in Continuous Improvement and 5S activities, and maintaining housekeeping and ergonomic standards. • Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust manufacturing equipment • Perform preventive, predictive, reactive, and corrective maintenance • Install, dismantle, and relocate machinery per blueprints or drawings • Diagnose and fix electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, HVAC, boiler, control, refrigeration, compressed‑air, and wastewater systems • Test and maintain AC/DC drives, motors, controls, relays, sensors, switches, and solenoid valves • Clean, lubricate, and adjust sensors, servos, and timing mechanisms to improve efficiency • Work with contractors on equipment repair, installation, and upgrades • Participate in Continuous Improvement and 5S initiatives • Maintain housekeeping, visual workplace standards, and ergonomic stretches • Complete hazard observations and report unsafe actions per Delta procedures

Candidates need a high‑school diploma with technical coursework (Basic Electricity, Motors and Motor Controls, plus a third elective) and 0‑2 years of electro‑mechanical experience. Mechanical aptitude, knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, and ability to read schematics and troubleshoot digital/analog electronics are required. Ability to work independently with limited supervision is essential. Required language, mathematical, and reasoning skills include reading safety rules and SOPs, performing basic arithmetic, and following written, oral, or diagram instructions. Physical demands include standing, walking, reaching, occasional lifting up to 40 lb, and occasional sitting, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. An HPE may be required for new hires or return‑to‑work situations. The work environment is moderate to low noise, with occasional exposure to moving equipment, fumes, and airborne particles.
