About the Role
As an integral part of the site leadership team, the Human Resources Manager will fulfill leadership duties and provide input for strategy, direction, and continuous improvement for the plant. The HR Manager is responsible for overall leadership of the human resources function supporting all operations and support functions within the facility, driving the Strategic HR Plan and implementing strategic initiatives for ongoing success. Key areas of responsibility include compensation, training, employee relations, leave of absence programs, staffing, culture, engagement and building organizational capabilities. In this role the manager will develop and execute site‑specific HR strategies, lead the achievement of plant‑level HR objectives, and advise leadership on policy and legal compliance. Responsibilities also cover talent and performance management, employee engagement and communication, culture and inclusion advocacy, compensation and lifecycle ownership, as well as talent acquisition and development. • Develop and execute site‑specific HR strategy aligned with corporate goals. • Lead achievement of plant‑level HR objectives and performance metrics. • Advise leadership on HR policies, legal compliance, and risk mitigation. • Oversee talent management processes including performance reviews and succession planning. • Design and implement employee engagement, communication, and change management initiatives. • Champion diversity, inclusion, wellness, and community involvement programs. • Manage compensation, recognition, and employee lifecycle accountability. • Direct talent acquisition, retention planning, and training compliance. • Ensure confidentiality and adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws. • Foster collaboration, influence across matrixed organization, and resolve conflicts.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and have at least five years of progressive HR experience, including two years in a manufacturing or distribution environment. Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, seven years of HR experience, and PHR or SPHR certification. The role requires handling confidential information, strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, multitasking in a fast‑paced environment, and the ability to influence across a highly matrixed organization while maintaining knowledge of employment laws and a focus on talent development and retention. Relocation assistance is available for candidates outside a 50‑mile radius of Waukesha, WI.
