About the Role
In this role you will achieve excellence in preventive maintenance programs, ensure energy‑conservation practices, and assist the Chief Engineer and Deputy Chief Engineer in managing the M&E scope of projects to meet quality and delivery timelines. You will also provide comprehensive facility, contract and procurement management for technical services and work toward financial and other targets set by the Senior Facilities Manager, while meeting KPI and SLA objectives. You will support property operations by managing mechanical, electrical, plumbing and civil maintenance, preparing critical spares lists, and implementing pre‑emptive maintenance programmes to reduce equipment failures. Responsibilities include reviewing contractor practices, maintaining logbooks, checklists and PPM schedules, handling downtime or breakdowns, arranging ad‑hoc M&E setups, ensuring contractors follow house rules, and assuming AFM duties when needed, all while handling shifts independently. Reporting duties involve daily M&E updates to the Chief Engineer, generating service maintenance reports for office equipment, managing inventory and procurement of spares and consumables, and producing downtime and breakdown incident reports. • Lead preventive maintenance programs and drive energy conservation. • Assist the Chief Engineer in managing M&E project scope, quality, and deliverables. • Oversee mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil maintenance operations. • Develop and maintain critical spares inventory and pre‑emptive maintenance schedules. • Review contractor work to ensure compliance with manufacturer standards and house rules. • Maintain logbooks, checklists, and PPM schedules for all M&E systems. • Manage downtime, breakdowns, and generate incident and service reports. • Prepare inventory, purchasing, and procurement documentation for spares and consumables. • Ensure compliance with occupational safety requirements and continuous improvement initiatives.

We are looking for candidates with a tertiary qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, preferably with five or more years of contract administration experience. Strong people skills, knowledge of occupational safety, PC literacy, and demonstrated experience in continuous improvement and client reporting are essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a team and drive improvement initiatives. • Hold a tertiary degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering. • Minimum 5 years of contract administration or related experience. • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with diverse client staff. • Proficient in PC applications and reporting systems. • Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement and client reporting.
