About the Role

The role operates one or two pieces of equipment such as a baler, front‑end loader, bobcat, candensifier, or forklift to transport or bind paper and other loose materials for handling. • Sort and grade material. • Fill and operate candensifier. • Record received or distributed materials and mark with identifying information. • Maintain inventory records. • Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications. • Ensure material is fed properly onto conveyor. • Coordinate flow of material. • Start baler on time, monitor functions, respond to prompts and alarms, and ensure proper operation. • Monitor and document downtime. • Ensure safety around work areas. • Check quality of material before baling or shipping. • Coordinate with MRF Manager on material to be baled or shipped. • Perform routine maintenance and daily inspection on equipment, including lubricating, fueling, and cleaning. • Keep supply of wire on hand for baler. • Operate loader, forklift, bobcat, or other equipment to move material to designated area. • Keep surrounding work areas clean. • Unload, tag, and stack material in proper rows using lifting device. • Load or unload materials into or out of trailers and railcars. • Move material from baler. • Dump containers, bins, and gaylords of materials. • Read loading, unloading sheets and bills of lading. • Complete necessary load and unload tally sheets. • Inspect and grade wastepaper received at plant. • Ensure vehicle condition reports are filled out per corporate guidelines. • Comply with all safety policies and procedures.

What You Bring

This position may require a REAL ID or TSA‑approved alternative for air travel or access to federal property. • Required: 6 months of previous work experience. • Required: Forklift certified. • Preferred: High school diploma or GED. • Preferred: 1 year of previous work experience.
