About the Role
The Installation and Service Technician role focuses on installing and repairing inventory control, RFID, and video equipment in retail stores. This position is essential for ensuring that customers' retail technology functions reliably and efficiently. Key duties include installing, servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining retail equipment at customer sites; tracking work orders, parts, and hours via computer; managing an accurate parts inventory for first‑time fixes; demonstrating equipment use and training customers; and communicating customer satisfaction, sales opportunities, and recurring issues to the manager. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed. • Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain retail inventory control, RFID, and video equipment on‑site. • Record work orders, parts used, and hours in the system. • Manage parts inventory to ensure first‑time fixes. • Demonstrate equipment use and train customers. • Report customer satisfaction, sales opportunities, and recurring issues to manager.

What You Bring
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, an associate degree or military equivalent in electronics/networking, a valid driver’s license, and at least three years of related experience. Required credentials include basic EAS and video certifications, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, mechanical aptitude, ability to lift 50‑70 lb and work at heights up to 40 ft, proficiency with MS Office, blueprint reading, and basic networking knowledge. Preferred qualifications include video/RFID certifications and full competency in networking fundamentals. • Required: High school diploma/GED, associate degree or military equivalent in electronics/networking, valid driver’s license. • Minimum 3 years related experience and basic EAS/Video certifications. • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and independent work skills; mechanical aptitude; ability to lift 50‑70 lb and work at heights up to 40 ft. • Proficient with MS Office, blueprint reading, and basic networking concepts; preferred video/RFID and network certifications. • Ability to travel, work overtime, and mentor/train others.
