Preventative Maintenance Apprenticeship for trades at Defence sites

About the Role
• Conduct risk assessments and implement controls for zero‑harm preventative maintenance. • Perform maintenance tasks per the Defence Service Definition Table, including inspections, testing, adjustments, cleaning and minor replacements. • Execute scheduled tasks on weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual cycles based on asset class and risk. • Carry out repeatable, standardized tasks using qualified and licensed tradespeople. • Identify wear, deterioration or potential failure points during preventative maintenance inspections. • Utilise the Employee Assistance Program for personal and family support.

What You Bring
Apprentices can work at HMAS Albatross (Nowra Hill) or Holsworthy Barracks as Electrician or Plumber, or at Randwick Barracks as a Refrigeration/HVAC Technician, and candidates from any background with defence, industry or transferable experience are welcome.
