About the Role
Key duties include performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on stationary crushing, screening, and conveyor equipment. The technician will troubleshoot mechanical issues, replace or repair bearings, belts, pulleys, motors, gearboxes, liners, and conduct welding, cutting, and fabrication work. Additional responsibilities involve assisting with equipment installation, maintaining accurate service records, operating mobile equipment such as forklifts and skid steers, and collaborating with production personnel to minimize downtime while ensuring safe plant operations. • Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on crushing, screening, and conveyor equipment. • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues on crushers, screens, pumps, and other plant systems. • Replace or repair bearings, belts, pulleys, motors, gearboxes, liners, and related components. • Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication to repair or modify equipment and structures. • Assist with installation, alignment, and setup of new plant components. • Maintain accurate maintenance and service records. • Collaborate with production staff to reduce downtime and ensure safe operations. • Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, and man lifts for maintenance tasks. • Follow lockout/tagout procedures, company safety policies, and environmental regulations; attend daily safety meetings. • Work the 4 p.m.–2 a.m. night shift, including overtime, weekends, and varying weather conditions.
