About the Role

The Maintenance Technician (East) is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs across commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment at assigned facilities. The role supports daily operations and ensures that all building systems function safely and efficiently. • Troubleshoot and repair building systems, including packaging machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, grounds equipment, and HVAC. • Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, and electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices. • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems. • Replace and repair finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and paint walls, piping, floors, and equipment. • Evaluate maintenance operations and recommend upgrades or cost‑saving opportunities. • Use tools and equipment competently for facility and ground maintenance tasks. • Respond promptly to emergencies and customer service requests. • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for safety hazards and preventative maintenance needs. • Maintain and operate fire alarm systems, fire pumps, and related fire protection equipment. • Perform carpentry work and snow removal as needed. • Adhere to all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives while practicing safe work habits. • Utilize technology such as smartphones, tablets, computers, web applications, and building automation systems. • Follow C&W uniform dress code and maintain a neat appearance on and off property.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or GED and two or more years of experience in a commercial property setting. Technical training in areas such as HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair is required, along with a valid driver’s license and basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word. The position operates in a professional office environment while also requiring regular on‑site work that involves physical activity, such as lifting, moving, and standing for extended periods. Employees must follow all safety protocols, wear the company uniform, and be prepared for shift work, on‑call duties, and emergency response. • Complete required C&W safety training annually.

Benefits

Compensation ranges from $23.80 to $28.00 per hour, with eligibility for a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, vision, dental, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, and paid time off. Pay is competitive and adjusted for location, experience, and collective bargaining agreements, and the company guarantees at least the minimum wage.
