About the Role

The manager will oversee scope, schedule, budget, and staffing across multiple projects, direct engineering deliverables, and ensure they meet FNI standards. Coordination of multi‑discipline teams and acting as the primary client, regulator, contractor, and vendor contact are also key responsibilities. Financial performance is supported by developing estimates, monitoring charges, and managing risks and changes. The role also includes driving improvements to tools, workflows, and delivery approaches, as well as providing construction‑phase leadership when needed. • Lead W/WW transmission and utilities projects from planning through construction. • Manage scope, schedule, budget, and staffing across multiple projects. • Direct and review engineering deliverables for quality and compliance with FNI standards. • Coordinate multi‑discipline teams and assign work to engineers, designers, and technicians. • Serve as primary point of contact for clients, regulators, contractors, and vendors. • Develop estimates, monitor project charges, and proactively manage risks and changes. • Implement improvements to tools, workflows, and project delivery processes. • Provide construction‑phase leadership, including field coordination and resident engineering support.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, a Professional Engineer license, and at least six years of relevant engineering experience that includes independent judgment and problem solving. Experience leading project teams, communicating clearly, and holding themselves and others accountable is required. Preferred experience includes delivering W/WW transmission and utilities projects such as pipelines and pump stations, managing multi‑office teams, supporting construction administration, and mentoring engineers and designers. An interest in growing client relationships with support from practice leadership is also valued. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a Professional Engineer (PE) license. • Possess at least 6 years of engineering experience with independent judgment and problem‑solving. • Demonstrate proven experience leading project teams and coordinating technical work across phases. • Exhibit strong communication skills and accountability for commitments. • Experience delivering W/WW transmission and utilities projects such as pipelines, pump stations, tanks, and valve facilities. • Experience managing multi‑office teams and balancing multiple concurrent projects. • Experience supporting construction administration and collaborating with contractors and vendors. • Ability to mentor engineers and designers through clear direction, feedback, and coaching.
