About the Role

The primary duty involves operating a forklift to transport materials across the plant floor and to storage areas, ensuring that supplies and products are positioned correctly for maximum operational efficiency. The role includes navigating both populated and confined spaces, handling elevated heights, and maintaining an orderly facility. • Operate forklift to lift, pull, and push materials from elevated heights while navigating populated and confined plant areas. • Perform safety procedures, including wearing and securing a harness. • Read and interpret schedules and tickets. • Use measuring tape with precision to the 1/16 inch. • Locate and move product stock onto pallets or crates for storage or shipment. • Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies. • Transport raw materials to production workstations. • Inspect machinery for repair needs and perform regular maintenance to ensure safety. • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines. • Scan loads into the system. • Maintain a safe and orderly facility environment. • Climb on and off the lift safely. • Frequently get on/off lift truck to manually handle door skins and other items up to 50 lb, involving bending, lifting, and twisting. • Pick up materials and dispose of them as necessary.

What You Bring

Candidates must have proven forklift operating experience, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with industrial equipment. Preferred qualifications include a valid forklift certification, at least one year of manufacturing experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to pass background and drug screenings. The job requires physical capabilities such as depth perception, climbing on and off lifts, coping with uneven surfaces, and regularly lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds while working at heights up to 20 feet. • Work and maneuver at elevated heights up to 20 ft. • Exhibit depth perception required for lift operation. • Tolerate continuous exposure to jarring and uneven pavement while driving. • Demonstrate proven forklift operator experience. • Show attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment. • Hold a valid forklift certification (preferred; onsite training available). • Possess at least one year of manufacturing experience in a similar role (preferred). • Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. • Pass a pre‑employment background check and drug screening.
