About the Role
The Supervisor in Charge (SIC) Med Tech acts as the immediate supervisor of daily operations for the assigned shift and manages the medication administration program in accordance with state regulations. The SIC directs Resident Assistants and Med Techs and helps coordinate services to residents under the guidance of the Resident Care Director or designee. • Observe, document, and report any changes in residents’ conditions to the Resident Care Director (RCD). • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transfer, mobility, and incontinence care. • Perform and document medical treatments and procedures according to state regulations and company policies. • Respond promptly to resident emergency call systems. • Assist and orient residents upon admission. • Document and review medication administration. • Administer medications according to physician orders and residents’ charts. • Ensure medications are given at the appropriate times. • Monitor blood sugar and administer insulin as ordered by physicians. • Conduct and document controlled drug counts at shift start and end. • Order resident medications in a timely manner. • Transcribe and execute physician orders following policies and procedures. • Communicate with physicians and other medical professionals about resident medications, treatments, and therapies. • Maintain CPR, First Aid, state‑specific Med Tech certifications, and State Board of Nursing licensure if applicable. • Promote teamwork and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

What You Bring
• Communicate resident illnesses, incidents, or injuries to the RCD, physicians, and families or responsible parties. • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent (required). • Be at least 21 years old, unless prior approval is obtained from the Regional Director. • Possess prior management experience in a similar environment (preferred). • Have CNA certification (preferred and may be required in some states). • Be familiar with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease symptoms and behaviors; Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) certification is recommended. • Work safely in a senior‑care environment without posing health or safety risks to self or others.
