About the Role
This Opportunity provides leadership within a sector of the organization to ensure civil engineering subject matter, technical deliverables, infrastructure projects and programs meet or exceed industry and company standards for design, safety, and functionality. The role is responsible for subject‑matter innovation, corporate compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and delivering pragmatic direction amid a rapidly changing business climate. In the Your Impact section, the incumbent will offer proactive strategic leadership for the civil engineering discipline, reviewing permits, design plans, contracts, and construction inspections to ensure regulatory compliance and sound engineering practice. They will lead complex civil engineering projects, manage budgets, monitor external events, track hours and expenses, and supervise subcontractors and staff while driving business development for large infrastructure projects within the assigned geography. Additional responsibilities include leading contract negotiations, presentations, and meetings, supporting long‑term strategy and pipeline development, and ensuring profitable project performance. The role also involves meeting with public and private entities, developing discipline certifications and value propositions, conducting client needs analyses, scheduling discipline meetings, and acting as a liaison to federal, state, and local agencies, clients, and industry groups. The candidate will develop proposals, scopes, timelines, pricing, and budgetary metrics, interpret data to reach engineering conclusions, and provide strategic advice to multidisciplinary teams. What You Bring
Who You Are: required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 12+ years of relevant experience, and a professional engineer license (multi‑state preferred). The individual must have advanced proficiency in civil engineering principles, infrastructure design, relevant codes and regulations, technical computations, and a suite of design software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS tools. Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and lateral‑thinking skills are essential, along with a proven safety record and adaptability to changing schedules. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in engineering and experience managing document review, certifications, and deliverables in a multi‑project environment.
