About the Role
• Work is primarily conducted outdoors and around airport activity zones. • Safely operate 15-passenger vans on scheduled or on-call routes between the airport, hotels, and other authorized locations. • Communicate any delays, road conditions, or hazards to dispatch and other drivers. • Apply sound judgment to resolve scheduling, routing, or service issues. • Maintain communication with dispatch via radio or phone regarding assignments and routing. • Load and unload luggage, including items up to 70 pounds. • Adjust pickup/drop-off timing in coordination with dispatch and flight schedule updates. • Keep vehicles clean, fueled, and ready for service. • Stay reachable during shifts to support dispatch coordination. • Greet crew members professionally and assist with boarding as needed. • Conduct vehicle inspections before and after shifts; promptly report safety or mechanical issues. • Follow airport driving rules, ramp access procedures, and internal safety policies. • Record trip details such as passenger counts, mileage, and times, using company logs.

What You Bring
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions (rain, snow, wind, heat). • Must be at least 18 years of age. • 1-2 years of recent driving experience in a shuttle, hospitality, or customer service environment. • Strong attention to safety, detail, and schedule adherence. • Able to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb in and out of vehicles throughout the shift. • CDL Preferred • Visual and auditory ability required to safely operate a vehicle and communicate effectively. • Familiarity with airport layouts and local Anchorage roads is beneficial. • Basic proficiency in communication tools (radio, text/email, dispatch systems). • Willing and able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and irregular shifts. • Must be able to lift/move objects up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs occasionally. • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written). • Composed and courteous in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. • Able to obtain and maintain airport security clearance and ramp driving privileges. • Able to complete trip reports and basic logs using whole numbers and time formats. • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions precisely. • Experience driving in snow or icy conditions is a plus. • High school diploma or GED equivalent. • Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently under pressure. • Valid Alaska state driver’s license; must meet insurability standards. • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. • Must pass a criminal background check, fingerprinting, and pre-employment drug screen as required for airport access. • Able to lift and carry items up to 70 pounds without assistance. • Regular exposure to weather conditions including cold, heat, snow, and rain. • Adapt quickly to changing flight schedules, road conditions, or unexpected service needs. • Able to read and interpret flight schedules, safety protocols, and written instructions. • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
