The Operations Manager Trainee (OMT) program prepares individuals to become front‑line Operations Managers. Most of the work is field‑based, involving daily interaction with front‑line employees. The training focuses on increasing financial profitability, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and team leadership, and participants must be willing to relocate after training. Trainees provide timely and consistent touchpoints with frontline staff, regularly review best practices, and partner with drivers and technicians to build job‑related skills while completing the assigned OMT curriculum. They actively practice coaching conversations, seek feedback, and collaborate with various frontline managers—including operations, fleet, sales, and district managers—to understand daily business operations. Additionally, they develop knowledge of DOT and OSHA safety programs, operational processes, dispatch and routing, and fleet maintenance systems. Applicants must have either an accredited bachelor’s degree or a high school diploma/GED plus two years of relevant work experience, be at least 18 years old, legally eligible to work in the country, and hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record throughout employment. A valid driver’s license is required and must be maintained. The role involves a mix of office and plant/field environments and requires regular use of standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
