Application Engineer (Dutch Language Certified)

About the Role

The primary responsibility for this role is to lead Building Management System global projects detailed engineering as per country‑specific standards from the India Center of Excellence. The engineer will independently execute projects throughout their lifecycle, handle first‑level escalations, follow processes, maintain required quality standards and ensure on‑time delivery to achieve customer satisfaction. Key tasks include reviewing MEP drawings to identify HVAC equipment, dampers and sensors, analysing control specifications and sequences of operation, generating review sheets and RFIs, creating Bills of Material and selecting sensors, control valves, dampers, airflow stations and controllers. The role also covers wiring, terminations, interlock wiring, preparing I/O summaries, programming supervisory and DDC controllers, developing test plans, performing simulations and delivering commissioning packages from the India Engineering centre. Additionally, the engineer reviews SCADA/HMI requirements, ensures defect‑free hardware and software delivery, and adheres to all processes and guidelines to meet project timelines. • Lead global BMS engineering projects from India Center of Excellence. • Execute project lifecycle independently and manage first‑level escalations. • Review MEP drawings and control specifications to identify HVAC components. • Generate review sheets, RFIs, Bills of Material and select sensors, valves, dampers, controllers. • Perform wiring, terminations, interlock wiring and prepare I/O summaries. • Program supervisory and DDC controllers, create test plans, run simulations and deliver commissioning packages. • Review SCADA/HMI requirements and ensure defect‑free hardware/software delivery. • Maintain quality standards, adhere to processes and meet project timelines.

What You Bring

Candidates should hold a Diploma, BE or ME in Instrumentation, Electrical or Electronics and possess 2‑10 years of relevant experience in the Building Automation or Industrial Automation sector. Dutch language proficiency with certification is mandatory, along with strong knowledge of system architecture, operator workstations, supervisory and DDC controllers, sensors, actuators and network protocols such as BACnet, LON, Modbus and OPC. Proficiency in wiring starters, field devices, safety interlocks and panels is required; experience with PLC programming/SCADA and HVAC/BMS engineering, installation and commissioning is an advantage. The ideal applicant is a quick learner with strong problem‑solving, written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated leadership ability. • Hold a Diploma/BE/ME in Instrumentation, Electrical or Electronics with 2‑10 years automation experience. • Demonstrate Dutch language proficiency with certification. • Know system architecture, operator workstations, network protocols (BACnet, LON, Modbus, OPC). • Proficient in wiring starters, field devices, safety interlocks and panels. • Experience with PLC programming/SCADA and HVAC/BMS installation and commissioning is a plus. • Possess strong problem‑solving, communication and leadership skills.
