About the Role

You will lead the day‑to‑day technical transport planning input into development planning projects while also taking on project‑management and leadership responsibilities where appropriate. This role includes mentoring Early Career Professionals to help deliver projects successfully. You will guide transport planning on small to medium‑scale projects, work with senior colleagues to deliver, manage and lead complex multidisciplinary projects, further develop commercial skills and grow your professional network to support business development. • Lead technical work on Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, access strategies, parking strategies, sustainable transport and active travel, using guidance such as NPPF, DfT Transport Assessment guidelines and Manual for Streets. • Prepare traffic flow information for Transport Assessments or Environmental Statements. • Set up and run junction capacity modelling software (e.g., Junctions 10, Linsig) and conduct scenario testing. • Manage small to medium scale projects, including budget planning, resource allocation and invoicing. • Carry out or supervise conceptual junction design (priority, roundabout, signals). • Communicate and lead discussions with clients, project team members, co‑professionals and other stakeholders. • Mentor and share technical knowledge with Early Career Professionals. • Maintain and grow a professional network of co‑professionals and clients.
