About the Role
The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing home construction in assigned communities, ensuring quality control, cost management, schedule adherence, and compliance with safety and building codes. The role requires regular site walks, coordination of pre‑construction, pre‑drywall, and final presentation meetings, and close collaboration with internal teams, trade partners, and inspectors to resolve issues and maintain project efficiency. • Oversee all construction activities from inception to move‑in, managing job sites and trade partners. • Conduct twice‑daily home walks to monitor progress, quality, and schedule compliance. • Lead pre‑construction, pre‑drywall, and final presentation meetings. • Negotiate inspector and trade partner issues to achieve cost‑effective solutions. • Manage daily trade partner communications and approve invoices via Build Pro. • Provide feedback on trade partner performance to the Lead Construction Manager. • Ensure site cleanliness, safety, and adherence to state and federal building codes. • Maintain safety logs, conduct on‑site safety meetings, and perform stormwater pollution prevention inspections. • Approve change orders, purchase orders, and maintain accurate project documentation. • Participate in “Everyone’s Included” day and other employee engagement programs.

What You Bring
Ideal candidates have 3‑5 years of residential construction management experience, a high school diploma or GED (college degree preferred), strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and proficiency with construction software such as Build Pro and Procore. The position demands regular on‑site presence, physical ability to handle construction tasks, a valid driver’s license with good driving record, and adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements. • 3‑5 years residential construction management experience required. • High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred. • Strong organizational, time‑management, and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Build Pro, Procore, or similar software. • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and auto insurance coverage. • Regular on‑site attendance during work hours; ability to work >8 hours per day in a construction trailer. • Capability to lift/move equipment over 50 lb, climb ladders, and occasionally operate construction equipment.
