About the Role

The role involves assembling and installing electrical metering, relaying, and transformer components into medium‑voltage (5‑38 kV) switchgear assemblies, as well as wiring devices. Work is performed using hand and air tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and measuring devices, following both repetitive and non‑repetitive tasks as required. Assemblies require positioning and installing parts according to material lists and blueprints, often involving wiring tasks that demand standing, sitting, bending, and ladder work throughout the day. Wire lugs are crimped using manual and automatic crimpers and strippers, and point‑to‑point wiring diagrams must be executed to route wires correctly. All assemblies are inspected for loose or missing hardware and cleanliness, and adjustments are made in response to change notices or customer requests while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and productivity. • Assemble and install medium‑voltage switchgear components and device wiring. • Use hand and air tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and measuring devices for assembly tasks. • Position and install parts according to material lists and blueprint specifications. • Perform wiring operations, including crimping wire lugs with manual and automatic tools. • Execute point‑to‑point wiring diagrams and route wires proactively from schematics. • Inspect finished assemblies for missing hardware and cleanliness. • Respond to change notices, customer adjustments, and development needs. • Maintain focus on safety, quality, productivity, and customer service.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution, have at least one year of related electrical wiring experience in a manufacturing environment, and be able to read and interpret drawings or wiring diagrams. Applicants must reside within 50 miles of the Omaha, NE facility unless they are active‑duty military; relocation is not offered. The position requires working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures in a manufacturing setting, the ability to work daily or weekend overtime, strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills, and a proven record of teamwork, attendance, and work performance.
