Materials Handler

About the Role

The role is responsible for coordinating the efficient operation of pulling items from inventory to fulfill orders while complying with policies, procedures, the quality management system and safety requirements. Typical duties include selecting items from storage and preparing them for delivery to the appropriate departments, operating a forklift in accordance with safety regulations, using scanners to ensure accurate inventory selection, and shrink‑wrapping products onto pallets as needed. The position also requires the ability to lift cartons, stand for extended periods, maintain a positive attitude, be self‑motivated, and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Additional tasks may be assigned by supervisors or management. • Pull and stage inventory items accurately for department delivery. • Operate forklifts safely following all safety regulations. • Use scanners to select correct items and maintain accurate inventory records. • Shrink‑wrap products onto pallets as required. • Apply problem‑solving, data collection, and decision‑making skills to define issues and draw conclusions. • Interpret technical instructions, diagrams and mathematical data to manage variables effectively.
