About the Role

The Assistant Maintenance Manager role leverages leadership and technical expertise to guide a team of maintenance mechanics, robotics, and controls systems technicians in a fast‑paced setting. The position prioritises safety, customer focus, and the development of team members’ skills. The manager partners with onsite Environmental Health and Safety to meet safety standards, tracks operational KPIs, schedules and completes work tickets, and oversees building cleanliness and inventory accuracy. Daily and weekly audits, as well as preventive, predictive, and condition‑based maintenance programs, are implemented to support multi‑site production. • Lead and train maintenance mechanics, robotics, and controls technicians. • Ensure compliance with safety standards and conduct regular audits. • Oversee preventive, predictive, and condition‑based maintenance programs. • Manage work‑order ticket scheduling, completion, and KPI tracking. • Maintain accurate inventory and building cleanliness oversight. • Coordinate with Environmental Health and Safety to meet safety requirements. • Develop and track budgets, assist in project planning and cost analysis. • Handle on‑call emergency situations and manage outside contractors. • Provide a client‑centric relationship with operational stakeholders.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent, have prior leadership experience, and be flexible to work various shifts. Experience with industrial machinery, electrical systems, and electronic controls is required, and applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Preferred experience includes managing budgets and vendors, familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), project management skills, and the ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics. The role requires prolonged standing, extensive walking, repetitive bending, lifting up to 49 lb, and dexterity for eye/hand coordination. Work may occur at elevated heights, in confined spaces, and under varying temperature, dust, noise, and vibration conditions. • Required: high school diploma, leadership experience, industrial maintenance skills. • Preferred: budget/vendor management, CMMS knowledge, project management, blueprint reading. • Physical duties include standing, walking, lifting up to 49 lb, and working in varied environments.

The position is based on‑site in Windsor, CT, with an estimated annual compensation range of $116,126 to $127,739, subject to qualifications, market conditions, and internal factors.
