Sheet Metal Duct Installer

About the Role

The role involves selecting sheet metal according to building or design plans, measuring and marking dimensions, drilling holes, installing and cutting metal sheets with supportive frameworks, fabricating or altering parts on construction sites, maneuvering and anchoring large sheet metal parts, and fastening seams or joints by welding, bolting, riveting, or soldering. Additional tasks include on‑site or shop fabrication, setting hangers, and trimming, fitting, hanging, and sealing ductwork. • Select sheet metal according to building or design plans • Measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets • Drill holes for screws, bolts, and rivets • Install and cut metal sheets with supportive frameworks • Fabricate or alter parts at construction sites • Maneuver and anchor large sheet metal parts • Fasten seams or joints by welding, bolting, riveting, or soldering • Perform on‑site or shop fabrication • Wear proper personal protective equipment • Use TradeGig app to view opportunities and express interest
