About the Role
• Lead development and application of risk‑informed methodologies for dams, levees and related infrastructure. • Perform and review risk assessments, including potential failure modes analysis and quantitative risk evaluations. • Advise clients on infrastructure investment prioritization based on risk profiles. • Support creation of dam and levee safety programs, inspection protocols, risk communication and emergency action plans. • Provide expertise in geotechnical, structural and hydraulic engineering for dam safety. • Integrate innovative tools and data analytics into risk‑management practices. • Collaborate with federal agencies, state regulators and private owners to align safety standards. • Represent clients in technical forums, public meetings and inter‑agency working groups. • Oversee design reviews, risk mitigation planning and construction oversight for major dam safety projects. • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations such as FERC, USACE and FEMA guidelines.

What You Bring
The firm is seeking a highly experienced Dams & Levees Discipline Lead to oversee complex infrastructure risk‑management initiatives. This senior role will provide strategic guidance, technical oversight, and coordination to enhance the safety and resilience of critical dam and levee systems. • Minimum qualifications: BA/BS in civil, geotechnical or structural engineering, 10+ years relevant experience, and a Professional Engineer license. • Preferred qualifications: 20+ years dams & levees experience; leadership of national‑level dam safety programs; familiarity with USACE Risk Management Center; ability to mentor junior engineers and lead multidisciplinary teams; strong analytical, communication and leadership skills; proficiency with risk modeling tools and dam safety software; experience with federal dam safety programs (USACE, FERC, FEMA).
