Planning, Project Monitoring and Control Head

About the Role

The role leads the implementation and delivery of a comprehensive range of PMO and project controls services, providing line‑management leadership and guidance across the PMO, planning Centre of Excellence and wider business, including other hubs and international centres. It involves acting as a trusted advisor, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring alignment with Mace’s control centre, client requirements and legislation. • Accountable for PMO and project controls performance on assigned commissions. • Design and implement effective PMO and project controls frameworks and strategies. • Manage clients, consultants, contractors and project teams on all PMO and project controls matters. • Act as a trusted advisor and build strong professional relationships with client organisations. • Lead administration of cost, schedule, change, risk and reporting processes to achieve key objectives. • Conduct periodic reporting, structured governance and performance meetings. • Develop and manage baseline scope, time, cost, risk and monitor delivery performance, change and contingencies. • Ensure all activities comply with Mace control centre, client requirements and prevailing legislation. • Provide line management and mentorship to junior PMO and project controls staff. • Deliver a high‑performing PMO and project controls team on the assigned commission. • Support the hub PMO and project control director with resourcing and recruitment for the commission. • Collaborate towards net‑zero carbon transition and manage associated carbon emissions and reductions.

What You Bring
