About the Role
The role is a full‑time outside sales position focused on seeking and developing new business sources both internally and externally. The loan officer meets prospective customers, brokers, NHCs, and other referral sources at homebuilding communities or convenient locations to collect and analyze financial information, advise on mortgage product risks and benefits, and help select the appropriate loan program within Lennar Mortgage’s roadmap. They also obtain loan applications and work with customers to achieve loan approval. Key responsibilities include traveling weekly to various communities, realtor offices, and events to solicit new business and generate leads, conducting first‑time homebuyer seminars, and participating in builder and realtor functions. The loan officer reviews leads daily, contacts prospects via phone or email, schedules meetings, originates and prepares new loans in compliance with product and policy guidelines, advises customers on suitable mortgage products, and locks interest rates according to secondary‑marketing policies. They also assist New Home Consultants with pre‑qualifications, maintain accurate records in the origination system, and strive to meet or exceed closed‑loan capture targets. • Travel weekly to communities, realtor offices, and events to generate leads and build relationships. • Host first‑time homebuyer seminars and participate in builder/realtor functions to source prospects. • Review leads daily, contact prospects via phone or email, and schedule in‑person or virtual meetings. • Originate and prepare loan applications, advise customers on mortgage products, and lock rates per policy. • Assist New Home Consultants with pre‑qualifications and provide loan status updates. • Meet or exceed closed‑loan capture targets and maintain accurate records in the origination system.

Ability to communicate professionally in both English and Spanish (verbal and written) is required. Applicants must be bilingual in English and Spanish, hold an NMLS license (or be willing to obtain one), and have at least three years of loan‑originating experience. A four‑year college degree is preferred. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, and the flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. The position requires regular in‑person attendance at company communities and job sites, the ability to work more than eight hours per day in a construction trailer, operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, and lift or carry equipment exceeding 50 lb. Occasional operation of construction equipment and finger dexterity for computer use may also be necessary. • Required: bilingual English/Spanish, NMLS license (or willingness to obtain), 3+ years loan‑originating experience, valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. • Preferred: four‑year college degree.
