About the Role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting with operation troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties and facilities. This role operates in a professional office environment, using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems, including packaging and handling machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, grounds equipment, and HVAC • Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, and electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems • Replace and repair finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and paint walls, piping, floors, and equipment • Evaluate and recommend upgrades to maintenance operations and cost‑saving opportunities • Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and perform preventative maintenance • Maintain and operate fire alarm, fire pump, and related life‑safety systems • Perform carpentry and snow removal as needed • Comply with applicable codes, regulations, agency directives, and safe work habits • Use technology such as smartphones, tablets, computers, web‑based applications, and building automation systems • Complete all required C&W safety training annually • Follow C&W uniform dress code and maintain a neat appearance on and off property

What You Bring

Physical demands include regular communication, operating a computer, moving about the workplace, remaining stationary for a short portion of the time, and extending hands and arms in any direction. • Demonstrate competent knowledge of tools and equipment used in facility and ground maintenance • Technical Proficiency • Multi‑Tasking • Sense of Urgency • High School Diploma or GED equivalent • 2+ years of related experience in a commercial property setting • Technical, vocational or on‑the‑job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair • Maintain a valid driver’s license (commercial may be required) with a good driving record • Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word
