Inspect, test, maintain fire alarm and suppression systems for customers.
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Level II: Consistently meet all objectives; mentor and supervise Level I staff. • Inspect, test, and maintain fire suppression systems, including fire alarms and extinguishers. • Ensure the full scope of each inspection is executed correctly. • Communicate with on‑site customers, check in/out, and address all questions. • Upload accurate inspection reports to CLSS within 24 hours of completion. • Attach photos to CLSS for any failed or service‑needed devices. • Send a weekly closeout email summarizing inspections and urgent items. • Assist in preparing as‑built drawings and other closeout documents as needed. • Provide information and support to inside sales when applicable. • Complete timesheets, service work orders, expense reports, and other paperwork accurately and promptly. • Assist the sales team during estimating, including system demonstrations when required. • Essential functions: lift and carry ladders, drawings, computers, and materials; lift up to 50 lb+; stand and walk on construction sites; climb stairs or ladders regularly. • Maintain a satisfactory driving record for company vehicle use.

What You Bring
• Level I: Achieve many objectives with timely supervision and clear communication. • Senior: Highly experienced with advanced layout, hardware, theory, and troubleshooting skills. • Minimum qualifications: high school diploma or GED; 5+ years fire alarm installation, testing, inspection, and service. • Knowledge of NFPA 72 and related fire and life safety codes. • Advanced ability to read and interpret blueprints. • 5+ years experience in system startup, programming, panel installation, and wiring. • Proficiency with electronic test equipment and basic circuitry troubleshooting. • Competent with MS Office Suite and clear verbal/written communication. • Empathetic customer interaction and ability to achieve satisfactory outcomes. • Pass background check, travel within the state (including overnight), and work nights/weekends as required. • Preferred qualifications: 7+ years testing and inspecting fire alarm and sprinkler systems, advanced NFPA 72 knowledge, experience with Building Reports software and Notifier panels, NICET or similar certification, willingness to join on‑call rotation. • Be able to kneel, stoop, crawl, and work in outdoor, mechanical, or extreme weather conditions. • Exposure to live voltage, moving parts, heavy machinery, wet environments, elevated locations, airborne particles, fumes, electrical hazards, vibrations, and occasional toxic chemicals. • Require accurate color vision and clear visual acuity for safe performance of job duties.
