About the Role
As a Transport Corridor Auditor you will be responsible for inspecting reinstatement works, carrying out warranty inspections, identifying defects, and ensuring compliance with key industry standards such as the Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management and the National Code of Practice for Utilities Access to Transport Corridors. You will also undertake Traffic Management audits, support project delivery across the network, and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders such as Waka Kotahi and Regional Councils. • Conduct reinstatement and warranty inspections, recording defects using Submitica. • Oversee and assist with field work, ensuring compliance with contract and regional specifications. • Undertake quality checks, identify risks, and implement corrective actions. • Build and maintain collaborative relationships across Downer, HCC, and CCA teams. • Lead by example in Zero Harm, performing safety leadership walks and ensuring safety excellence.

All successful applicants will be required to undertake a pre‑employment drug test, medical and a Ministry of Justice check prior to starting employment; support can be arranged if needed. • CoPTTM STMS CAT A/B qualification with 2–3 years of practical experience. • Strong understanding of the National Code of Practice for Utility Operators Access to the Transport Corridor. • Experience in network maintenance, civil construction, or roading (advantageous). • Proven ability in network inspection and fault identification. • Strong communication skills and ability to build influential relationships. • Proactive, solutions‑focused approach with strong organisational skills and resilience.
