About the Role
The Project Controls Analyst will support cost management activities for one or multiple complex projects, collaborating with senior project managers and senior cost analysts to develop high‑level strategic cost plans from early phases through project closeout. Working alongside the project cost lead and controls manager, the analyst will craft long‑term support plans that include building, managing, and reporting cost data and analyses, requiring exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities. Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining project cost reports, analyzing actual versus forecasted expenditures, and delivering detailed cost risk insights to project managers, clients, and third parties. The role also involves preparing accruals and forecasts on required schedules, supporting earned value analysis, reviewing subcontractor invoices, and assisting with RFPs, RFQs, contract negotiations, value‑engineering exercises, and the development of cost management procedures. • Develop and manage project cost reports, evaluating actual versus forecasted costs. • Provide detailed cost risk analysis and mitigation recommendations to stakeholders. • Prepare project accruals and forecast reports on monthly, biweekly, or weekly schedules. • Support earned value analysis and creation of project control/execution plans. • Review and approve subcontractor and third‑party invoices. • Assist in preparing RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiations. • Contribute to value‑engineering exercises and cost estimate development. • Aid in establishing cost management procedures for the firm and clients.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline and possess at least three years of cost management experience on capital projects covering design and construction phases. Experience in a complex, matrixed environment, advanced Excel skills, a background in the construction industry (life‑science experience preferred), and strong oral and written communication abilities are essential. • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field. • Minimum three years of cost management experience on capital projects (design and construction phases). • Experience working in complex, matrixed environments. • Advanced proficiency in Excel. • Construction industry background; life‑sciences experience preferred. • Strong oral and written communication skills.
