About the Role
The role seeks EITs and Professional Engineers in civil, geotechnical, hydraulic, structural, geological, or mechanical disciplines to support inspections, assessments, and design of dams and related hydraulic structures. Candidates will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, perform risk assessments, and travel for field work. • Support inspections and engineering assessments of existing dams and water‑retaining structures. • Conduct analyses, evaluations, and designs; develop design options with supporting calculations. • Prepare contract documents, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and critical reports for new or rehabilitated hydraulic structures. • Perform engineering assignments that require critical thinking and creativity when code guidance is limited. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on hydropower, pumped‑storage, and dam safety projects. • Support risk assessments for dams and hydraulic structures. • Travel as required for inspections, meetings, or other project needs.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering. • Minimum five years of professional experience in the civil/geotechnical discipline. • Experience with dams, water conveyances, or hydropower projects regulated by FERC or similar agencies. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD or MicroStation; familiarity with Bentley (gINT/OpenGround/LeapFrog) and GeoStudio/Ensoft software. • Ability to work independently and within project teams to complete tasks. • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills. • Experience with dam safety inspections, instrumentation, and subsurface exploration programs. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. • Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification. • Computer skills in Microsoft Office.
