About the Role
The Carpentry Technician plans, lays out, and performs all types of carpentry work in line with applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. The role also involves assisting in other trades at a level appropriate to the individual's training and skills when requested by project supervision. • Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transport, storage, and time. • Apply high proficiency in trade mathematics. • Inspect subordinate work for accuracy and compliance; correct deficiencies. • Identify improvement opportunities, share knowledge, and teach others. • Maintain positive relationships with crew members. • Produce high‑quality work safely and productively. • Provide feedback to ensure materials, tools, equipment, and information are available. • Read and interpret drawings, specs, safety and quality standards; use relevant trade tools and equipment. • Occasionally stoop, kneel, or bend. • Occasionally use telephone, computer, email, or other electronic devices for communication. • Comply with all safety standards and procedures. • Frequently use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects. • Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds. • Occasionally lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lbs.

What You Bring
• Possess required experience level (1‑4 years) in industrial/commercial construction and deep carpentry knowledge. • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills. • Wear required personal protective equipment (e.g., steel‑toe shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, vest). • Frequently reach above shoulder height and below waist. • Navigate confined spaces and uneven areas. • Work up to 12‑hour shifts performing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions.
