About the Role
In this position, the director will oversee project delivery and staff development while providing technical guidance for local, state, and regional clients. What You Bring
WSP seeks a licensed engineer with a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and at least 12 years of post‑education experience in traffic design and infrastructure. Candidates must have demonstrated staff and project management abilities, advanced proficiency in traffic engineering principles and software, and strong leadership and communication skills. Additional qualifications include experience with traffic operations analysis tools such as Synchro, Vissim, and Sidra, PTOE/PTP certifications, and a history of coordinating subconsultants and engaging with professional societies. A commitment to safety, ethical conduct, and adaptability to changing schedules is essential. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, an engineering license, and 12+ years of relevant experience. • Demonstrate staff and project management experience with advanced traffic engineering proficiency. • Exhibit strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. • Proficient in AutoCAD, MicroStation, traffic analysis software, and office automation tools. • Preferred: Master’s degree, supervisory experience, PTOE/PTP certifications, and experience with Synchro, Vissim, and Sidra.
