About the Role

The role is to deliver an efficient, customer‑focused secretarial service, ensuring accurate processing of Directors’ correspondence and overseeing the practical operation of the Taylor Wimpey regional office. • Manage office procedures, ensuring compliance and timely completion of weekly/monthly secretarial tasks. • Maintain records, filing systems, diary, travel arrangements and telephone liaison at all levels. • Oversee the practical operation of the regional office, including reception and staff support. • Prepare documents for Managing Director meetings and act as minute‑taker when required. • Monitor the Managing Director’s inbox, handle urgent emails and coordinate communication during absences. • Process HR activities: onboarding new starters, managing leavers, preparing offer packs, contracts and references. • Update payroll records, manage staff absence, and maintain holiday and company‑car charts. • Support disciplinary and grievance meetings as note‑taker for HR and line managers. • Work independently, under pressure, maintaining confidentiality and flexible daily scheduling.

What You Bring

The position requires strong administrative, HR and diary‑management capabilities, supporting the Managing Director, handling communication, payroll updates and staff records while maintaining confidentiality and flexibility. We expect competent PC skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), exceptional organisational ability, a professional telephone manner and the capacity to work independently under pressure. • Demonstrate proficient use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. • Exhibit exceptional administrative, organisational and multitasking skills with a professional telephone manner.
