About the Role

As a Mechanical Engineer III – IV, you will represent the firm in interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members. You will design large projects, prepare reports and specifications, and provide a high level of technical leadership. • Provide consulting services, including due diligence, gap analyses, and feasibility reports • Develop sustainable mechanical solutions and produce concepts and detailed drawings • Oversee production of drawings to meet client requirements and standards • Coordinate with design team, owner, and contractors • Establish design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects • Prepare proposals and administer project contracts, including Add Service Agreements • Conduct business development activities, participate in trade organizations, and prepare presentations • Establish project budgets and schedules • Participate in QA/QC processes for completed staff work • Manage and review staff resources

What You Bring

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer III – IV to join our growing team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have significant mechanical design experience and a desire to help grow our team while managing and developing our younger mechanical engineers. Successful candidates should hold a current EIT and have a solid, stable work track record. The role requires the ability to fully design mechanical systems for various building types, including commercial, mixed‑use, mission‑critical, life‑science, and R&D facilities. • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university • 3.5+ to 8 years of experience in a consulting firm • LEED AP accreditation (highly preferred) • Strong ability to coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, structural, electrical, and telecom elements, considering constructability and cost • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit • EIT/FE required
