About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the electrician will be responsible for maintaining batching plants, conveyors, motors, PLCs and control systems, troubleshooting faults, and supporting plant upgrades and continuous improvement projects while ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and Australian electrical standards. • Perform preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance on batching plants, conveyors, motors, PLCs, and control systems. • Diagnose faults and reduce unplanned downtime. • Support plant upgrades and continuous improvement projects. • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, Australian electrical standards, and internal safety protocols. • Collaborate with production teams to minimise disruption. • Maintain accurate service records and assist contractors on site.

What You Bring
Heidelberg Materials is seeking a qualified and safety‑focused Electrician to join its Metropolitan Concrete Maintenance team in Sydney. This full‑time, permanent role offers variety, autonomy and the chance to work across multiple sites in the Sydney Metro area, with a company tool‑of‑trade ute, uniforms and PPE provided. The ideal candidate holds a NSW Electrical Trade Qualification, a current driver’s licence with White Card, and a High Risk Work Licence such as EWP. Experience in industrial maintenance within concrete, mining, manufacturing or heavy industry is preferred, together with strong fault‑finding skills on LV motors, control wiring, sensors and automation. • Hold a NSW Electrical Trade Qualification and a current Australian Driver’s Licence with White Card. • Possess a High Risk Work Licence (e.g., EWP) and industrial maintenance experience in concrete, mining, manufacturing or heavy industry. • Demonstrate strong fault‑finding skills on LV motors, control wiring, sensors, and automation. • Knowledge of PLCs and batching control systems (advantageous) and ability to read schematics. • Additional tickets such as First Aid, CPR, LV Rescue, Forklift, CN are highly regarded.
