About the Role

The Repair Maintenance Engineering Intern role bridges hands‑on facility work with the organizational processes that keep maintenance running smoothly. Interns gain practical experience in scheduling, creating standard work documentation, and learning the fundamentals of equipment repair and facility management. This exposure to both operational and administrative tasks contributes to the efficiency and reliability of the organization’s assets. Interns will work closely with the maintenance team, gaining exposure to both hands‑on tasks and the documentation and scheduling processes that support them. They will contribute to the overall effectiveness of the maintenance program while learning industry best practices and safety standards. • Assist with hands‑on repairs, inspections, and upkeep of facility equipment and systems. • Develop and document standard work procedures for common maintenance tasks. • Support scheduling of preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinating work orders and timelines. • Maintain organized records of maintenance schedules, SOPs, and task completion. • Respond to staff maintenance requests and report issues to supervisors. • Collaborate with senior technicians to learn practical maintenance skills and best practices. • Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards. • Participate in training sessions and team meetings to improve technical skills and safety awareness.

What You Bring

Candidates must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Systems Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.0. They must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship and be able to perform manual tasks such as lifting, standing, and bending, as well as desk‑based scheduling and documentation work. Preferred candidates have hands‑on experience and a basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, along with strong organizational and process‑improvement skills. Additional attributes include the ability to follow verbal and written instructions, attention to detail, commitment to safety, good communication and teamwork abilities, and a willingness to learn and take initiative. • Pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant engineering or technology fields with at least a 3.0 GPA. • Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship and capable of manual and desk‑based tasks. • Possess hands‑on experience and basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems (preferred). • Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills with attention to detail and safety.
