About the Role
About the role: As a Groundperson you will work directly with Power Line Technician crews who construct, operate, and maintain powerlines and electrical distribution systems. This hands‑on field role suits candidates interested in electrical utility work, construction, trades, laborer, and outdoor work. You will handle tools, materials, and equipment, assist with setting up and dismantling work sites, support safe work practices, and contribute to daily crew operations in all weather conditions. • Assist PLT crews with construction and maintenance of powerlines • Handle tools, equipment, and materials safely • Set up, organize, and clean up work sites • Support safe work procedures at all times • Work professionally with crew members, customers, and the public • Work at heights on wood poles and steel towers • Work outdoors in all weather conditions • Perform physically active work and travel when required

What You Bring
• High School Diploma, CAEC, or GED • Meet minimum academic requirements for Alberta Industry Training PLT Apprenticeship entry (English 20‑2, Math 20‑3, Science 10) • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
