Applicants must possess the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, meet all physical requirements, be able to work at heights exceeding 300 ft, have the necessary tools and reliable transportation, and pass pre‑employment screenings (physical, drug test, MVR). The role requires leadership in steel erection, fabrication, grid layout, and rigging, as well as the ability to perform all craft‑trade duties. Candidates must read and interpret IFC drawings, craft specifications, cut sheets, and engineering change notices, and know when to halt work or issue an RFI. Proficiency in safe rigging practices, correct bolting procedures, torque and tension concepts, and operation of specialty tools (torque wrenches, skidmore, mag drills, Hogan drills) is essential. Basic welding and cutting knowledge, equipment operation (JLG man baskets, cranes), and strong math skills are also required. Preference is given to current or former Zachry employees, individuals with NCCER certification for Industrial Journeyman Carpenter, and those holding formal technical education.
