About the Role
• Lead and manage roadway design and construction projects in Florida and neighboring states. • Review, position, and pursue projects for FDOT districts, counties, and related agencies. • Develop project plans, scopes, and budgets. • Manage timelines to ensure projects finish on schedule and within budget. • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and team members. • Design roadway geometrics, intersections, and related features. • Perform engineering analyses and calculations. • Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and codes. • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians. • Give feedback and coaching to team members. • Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and other project parties. • Represent the project team and company to external parties. • Interact and communicate effectively with design teams, clients, and agencies. • Coordinate work across various project design tasks. • Participate in a 401(k) retirement plan.

What You Bring
We are seeking an experienced Principal Project Manager for large transportation infrastructure projects, based in Florida (Tampa, Orlando or Jacksonville). The role will involve working closely with our talented engineers on some of the region’s biggest projects, often handling multiple assignments of varying size and complexity. • Hold a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. • Maintain a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida. • Bring 20+ years of highway design and local street experience. • Be familiar with Florida Department of Transportation practices, standards, and documentation. • Demonstrate strong decision‑making, flexibility, quality focus, and attention to detail. • Proficient in MicroStation, Bentley ORD, and Microsoft Office.
